Horseback Riding Adjustment Pool Water Conservancy Park Introduction
The Mabei Adjustment Pond is located northwest of Longtian Village, near the Gaotai Tea Area to the north and the Longtian Pineapple Area to the south. The water in the pond is drawn from the Luye Irrigation Canal; it is 115 meters long, 105 meters wide, and 8 meters deep, covering an area of about 1.2 hectares with a total water storage capacity of approximately 60,000 tons, making it the largest artificial irrigation reservoir in Taiwan. Surrounded by mountains, the area boasts clear skies and fresh air, along with a stream built using natural stone ecological techniques, where the water is crystal clear. Pavilions and green spaces create an ecological pond and waterside area, providing an unprecedented refreshing landscape. The combination of the surrounding water, mountains, and nearby tourist tea gardens, cycling paths, and paragliding opportunities offers a smooth and free-flowing three-dimensional travel experience at the Luye Irrigation Canal Mabei Adjustment Pond Water Park. In addition to the Luye and Beinan canals, Taitung also features other scenic irrigation facilities such as the Chishang Canal, Guanshan Canal, Luye Canal, Wuling Community, Beinan Upper Canal, Shigu Adjustment Pond, Zhiben Canal, Danan Canal, and Shemagan Canal, making it an ideal itinerary for enjoying an intellectual and emotional journey in the garden of Taiwan's eastern mountains.
