Mabei Adjusting Pool Water Conservancy Park Introduction
The Mabe Adjustment Pool is located northwest of Longtian Village, near the Gaotai Tea Area to the north and the Longtian Pineapple Area to the south. The pool receives water from the Luye Irrigation Canal; it is 115 meters long, 105 meters wide, and 8 meters deep, covering an area of approximately 1.2 hectares with a total storage capacity of about 60,000 tons. It is currently the largest artificial water storage farm pond for irrigation in Taiwan. Surrounded by mountains, the area features clear skies and refreshing air, with a streambed built using natural ecological methods of stone construction, clear flowing water, pavilions, and eco-pools created with flowers and plants, allowing visitors to experience an unprecedented fresh landscape. The combination of the surrounding water, light, and mountain scenery, along with nearby tourist tea gardens, bicycle paths, and paragliding, creates a fluid and free three-dimensional travel landscape at the Luye Irrigation Canal Mabe Adjustment Pool Water Conservation Park. In addition to the Luye and Beinan irrigation canals, Taitung also boasts scenic water conservancy facilities such as Chishang Canal, Guanshan Canal, Luye Canal, Wuling Community, Beinan Upper Canal, Shigu Adjustment Pool, Zhiben Canal, Daan Canal, and Shemagan Canal, making it an ideal packaged itinerary for enjoying an intellectually and sensually fulfilling trip to Taitung, often referred to as Taiwan's backyard garden.
