Horseback Adjustment Pool Water Conservancy Park Introduction
The Mabei Adjustment Pond is located to the northwest of Longtian Village, near the Gaotai Tea Area to the north and the Longtian Pineapple Area to the south. The pond is fed by the Luyan Main Canal; it is 115 meters long, 105 meters wide, and 8 meters deep, covering an area of approximately 1.2 hectares, with a total water storage capacity of about 60,000 tons, making it the largest artificial agricultural pond in Taiwan's sprinkler irrigation area. Surrounded by mountains, the area enjoys clear skies and fresh air, with a creek built using natural ecological techniques featuring crystal-clear water, pavilions, and ecological ponds created with flowers and greenery, offering an unprecedented refreshing landscape. Combined with the water reflections and mountain scenery of the surroundings, as well as nearby tourist tea plantations, bicycle paths, and paragliding in the air, the Luyan Main Canal Mabei Adjustment Pond Water Conservancy Park allows for a smooth and liberated three-dimensional travel experience. In addition to the Luyan and Beinan Main Canals, Taitung also boasts ten picturesque water conservancy facilities, including the Chishang Canal, Guanshan Main Canal, Luyan Canal, Wuling Community, Beinan Upper Canal, Shiku Adjustment Pond, Zhiben Canal, Daan Canal, and Shemagan Canal, making it an ideal itinerary for a journey to enjoy both intellectual and emotional experiences in Taitung, the garden of Taiwan's eastern mountains.
