Mabeijiao Adjustment Pool Water Conservancy Park Introduction
The Mabe Adjustment Pond is located in the northwestern part of Longtian Village, near the Gaotai Tea Area to the north and the Longtian Pineapple Area to the south. The water for the pond is drawn from the Luye Irrigation Canal; it is 115 meters long, 105 meters wide, and 8 meters deep, covering an area of approximately 1.2 hectares with a total water storage capacity of about 60,000 tons. It is currently the largest artificial water reservoir for irrigation in Taiwan. Surrounded by mountains, the area has clear skies and fresh air. The streambed, built using natural ecological methods with stone materials, features clear flowing water, pavilions, and ecological pools adorned with flowers and plants, providing an unprecedented refreshing landscape. Combining the scenic water and mountain vistas, nearby tourist tea gardens, bicycle paths, and paragliding in the sky, visitors can experience a fluid and free three-dimensional travel landscape at the Luye Irrigation Canal Mabe Adjustment Pond Water Resource Park. In addition to the Luye and Beinan Canals, Taitung has other beautiful water infrastructure attractions, including the Chihshang Canal, Guanshan Canal, Luye Canal, Wuling Community, Beinan Upper Canal, Shigu Adjustment Pond, Zhiben Canal, Dainan Canal, and Shemagan Canal, making it an ideal packaged tour for enjoying an intellectual and emotional journey in Taitung, Taiwan's backyard garden.
