Horseback Adjustment Pool Water Conservancy Park Introduction
The Mabei Adjustment Reservoir is located in the northwest of Longtian Village, near the Gaotai Tea Area to the north and the Longtian Pineapple Area to the south. The reservoir draws water from the Luye Irrigation Canal; it is 115 meters long, 105 meters wide, and 8 meters deep, covering an area of approximately 1.2 hectares, with a total water storage capacity of about 60,000 tons. It is currently the largest artificial water storage agricultural pond in Taiwan's sprinkler irrigation area. Surrounded by mountains, the sky is clear and refreshing, featuring a streambed constructed using natural ecological methods with clear flowing water. Pavilions and flower gardens create ecological and interaction ponds, offering an unprecedented fresh landscape. Combined with the surrounding scenery of water, light, and mountains, and the nearby tourist tea gardens and bike paths, as well as paragliding adventures, the Luye Irrigation Canal Mabei Adjustment Reservoir Water Conservancy Park allows visitors to experience a fluid and immersive three-dimensional travel landscape. Besides the Luye and Beinan irrigation canals, Taitung also has ten beautiful scenic water conservancy facilities, including the Chihshang Canal, Guanshan Canal, Luye Canal, Wuling Community, Beinan Upper Canal, Shiku Adjustment Pond, Zhihben Canal, Dainan Canal, and Shemakan Canal, making it an ideal package for an enriching and emotional journey in Taitung, the "back garden of Taiwan."
