Yongan Yulongquan Trail Introduction
Yulong Spring is a natural spring located in the Yong'an Community, which has formed a rich natural ecology and forest due to abundant water sources. The local residents regard it as a "spiritual spring." Every year during the Dragon Boat Festival at noon, all villagers gather to fetch the water, making it one of the local customs in Luye Township. The Yulong Spring Ecological Trail stretches 1,100 meters and is divided into three main sections. The first section is the Sheng'an Temple Stairway Trail, which connects the Yong'an Sheng'an Temple to Yulong Spring, featuring 108 steps along the way with areas for the Yulong Spring, wetland ecology area, wooden bridge, and a water play area, covering approximately 250 meters. The second section is the Yulong Spring Streamside Trail, which includes a stream ecology area, soil and water conservation education area, and a parent-child water play area, with stone and concrete paths along the stream, covering about 550 meters, and rich forest scenery along the way. The third section is the High Platform Shaded Stairway Trail, which includes 370 steps. It takes about 50 minutes to walk the entire Yulong Spring Ecological Trail, which is refreshing as it winds through the forest, with rich plant diversity, abundant water sources, and clear streams that nurture a rich natural ecology, where butterflies flutter around and it serves as a paradise for birds. Along the mountain wall, the clean environment supports dense growth of watercress, under which tree frogs, crabs, and freshwater shrimp can be seen busy foraging. Various species of crabs and frogs reside here, with the dominant species being the two-colored crab, along with the gray crab, Cai's crab, and the La's clear stream crab, and many types of frogs including the white-jawed tree frog, brown tree frog, and La-Duski's red frog, as well as the black Mongolian small rain frog and the Japanese tree frog that loves to soak in hot springs. To ensure that crossing animals and insects are not disturbed by tourists, the children of Yong'an Elementary School ingeniously paved the path with tires and painted them, affectionately nicknamed the "Flower Wheel Trail," which adds a unique touch and allows visitors to cross without getting their feet muddy, leaving a deep impression of care and love from the children. The Yulong Spring Ecological Trail features a water resource platform, showcasing various landscapes and ecological pools made using traditional methods, providing spots for rest and close observation of the rich natural ecology. There are resting benches along the way, and upon completing the stairway trail, visitors can reach the high platform sightseeing tea garden, with the trail ending at a large viewing pavilion called "Mingpu," set up by the Long Valley Scenic Area Management Office, where one can gaze at the beautiful valley landscape, providing a perfect conclusion to a lovely journey.
