Lilan Station (Guanshan Old Railway Station) Introduction
Guanshan Old Railway Station, also known as Lilong Station, where "station" means "train station" in Japanese, and "Lilong" is an Amis word meaning "a lot of red insects" in the local area. The Guanshan Old Railway Station was built in the 8th year of the Taisho era (1919) by the Taitung Sugar Corporation. In 1980, a new station was constructed about 100 meters away from the old station. After years of being idle, the old station was renovated with funding from the Taitung County Government, becoming the only preserved railway station building from the Japanese colonial period along the Eastern Railway Main Line.
