Guanshan Town Circular Bicycle Path Introduction
The Guanshan Circular Bicycle Path is Taiwan's first dedicated bicycle path, circling around Guanshan Township with a total length of approximately 12 kilometers, divided into two sections: the "Waterfront Section" and the "Mountain Section." The "Waterfront Section" begins at Guanshan Riverside Park, following the Guanshan Drain and Kanding River. Along the way, you can see the majestic, lush Central Mountain Range and the expansive rice fields of the Huadong Valley. The rice fields offer different scenery throughout the four seasons: the tender green rice seedlings bring the vitality of spring, the mountain breeze sweeps over the rice waves before harvest, and the aroma of rice fills the air, completely relaxing both body and mind. After the harvest, the fields are adorned with rapeseed flowers, painting Guanshan's beautiful mountains and waters into a vibrant masterpiece. Upon entering the "Mountain Section," you can ride along the gentle slope to Zongguan Sun Moon Pavilion, where you can take a break and enjoy a panoramic view of Guanshan Township. On the way back, consider riding into Guanshan Township to visit the Guanshan Rice International School. In addition to agricultural experiences, you can also enjoy various delicacies and snacks made from Guanshan rice. Alternatively, head to Taitung Tianhou Temple to taste the delicious street food around, or try the Guanshan lunchboxes available near Guanshan Railway Station and Lilon Station, where the rice is notably white and fragrant—an excellent choice for replenishing energy after your ride.
