Guanshan Ring Trail Introduction
The Guanshan Circular Bike Path is Taiwan's first dedicated bicycle path, encircling Guanshan Township with a total length of approximately 12 kilometers, divided into two sections: the "Waterside Section" and the "Mountain Section." The "Waterside Section" starts at Guanshan Waterside Park, following the Guanshan Drain and the Kanding Creek. Along the way, you can see the majestic and lush Central Mountain Range, as well as the vast rice fields of the Huadong Valley. The rice fields present different sceneries throughout the year, with the tender green rice seedlings bringing the vitality of spring. Before harvest, the mountain breeze sweeps across the rice waves, and the aroma of rice wafts through the air, completely relaxing both body and mind. After the harvest, fields full of rapeseed flowers transform Guanshan's beautiful mountains and waters into a vividly colored masterpiece. Upon entering the "Mountain Section," you can reach the Zongguan Sun-Moon Pavilion along a gentle slope, where you can take a break and overlook the panorama of Guanshan Township. On the way back, consider riding into Guanshan Township to visit the Guanshan Rice International School. In addition to agricultural experiences, you can also enjoy various delicacies and snacks made from Guanshan rice, or head to Taitung Tianhou Temple to taste the delicious street food around the area. Guanshan Railway Station and the surrounding area near the Lilang Station offer Guanshan bento, with rice that is exceptionally white and fragrant, making it an excellent choice to replenish energy after exercising.
