Guanshan Bicycling Path Introduction
Guanshan Circular Bicycle Path is Taiwan's first dedicated bicycle lane, encircling Guanshan Township with a total length of approximately 12 kilometers, divided into two sections: the "Waterfront Section" and the "Mountain Section." The "Waterfront Section" starts from Guanshan Waterfront Park and follows along Guanshan Drain and Kanding Creek, where riders can enjoy the majestic green Central Mountain Range and the vast rice fields of the Hualien-Taitung Valley. The rice fields change scenery with the seasons, with tender green seedlings embodying the vitality of spring, the winds before harvest sweeping through the rice waves, and the fragrant aroma of rice wafting through the air, completely relaxing the body and mind. After the harvest, fields full of rapeseed flowers paint Guanshan's good mountains and waters into a vibrant masterpiece. Upon entering the "Mountain Section," a gentle slope leads to Zongguan Sun Moon Pavilion, a perfect place to take a break and overlook the panoramic view of Guanshan Township. On the way back, consider riding into Guanshan Township and visit Guanshan Rice School, where you can experience agricultural activities and enjoy various delicacies and snacks made from Guanshan rice, or head to Taitung Tianhou Temple to taste delicious local snacks. The Guanshan Train Station and surroundings around Lilang Station offer tasty Guanshan lunch boxes, with the rice being snow-white and delicious, making it an excellent choice for replenishing energy after exercise.
