Chishang Irrigation Park Introduction
Chishang Water Conservancy Park is located in Chishang Township, Taitung County. It is a green park that combines water conservancy engineering, ecological conservation, and rural landscapes. The park surrounds the historically significant Chishang Irrigation System, which was excavated in the late Qing Dynasty and expanded and modernized during the Japanese colonial period, irrigating over one thousand hectares. It has become an indispensable lifeline for Chishang's farmland and has nurtured the well-known Chishang rice culture throughout Taiwan.
