Luan Mountain Forest Culture Museum Introduction
Luan Mountain is home to Taiwan's low- to mid-elevation pristine forests, which include thousands of precious native banyan trees. Being among them feels like stepping into a dreamlike scenario akin to Avatar. These native banyan trees are also known as "walking trees" because their aerial roots constantly extend and spread. When the original branches wither, the aerial roots take over, giving the impression that the trees are continuously moving. At the Luan Mountain Forest Museum, visitors can plan their itinerary based on the time they have. Here, you can listen to the history of migration narrated by the Bunun tribesman Aliman. Inside the museum, you can learn about the Bunun's wisdom in the mountains and forests, attempting to live in the simplest way and return to a pure pace of life. If you make a reservation in advance to dine here, you will be able to taste traditional Bunun cuisine that cannot be found in urban restaurants. 【Source: Tribe Backpackers Feng Taitung Tribal Travel Guide】
