Water Up Flow Wonder Introduction
The Upside Down Water Wonder is located at approximately 148 kilometers on Highway 11, originally a farm irrigation ditch, about 1.8 kilometers from Dulan. Due to a slight illusion created by the terrain, it gives the impression that water flows upward, which has gained significant fame, marked by a stone tablet inscribed with "Wonder" beside the ditch. This phenomenon occurs because the road next to the ditch is downhill, but the ditch itself is not sloping down; instead, it has a very slight upward gradient. Therefore, when standing at a lower elevation, it appears as if the water in the ditch flows up along the downhill road, creating a sense of wonder. To facilitate visitor access, the East Coast National Scenic Area Administration has renovated the area around the Upside Down Water Wonder, established public restrooms, and set up local workshops. In addition to viewing the wonder, visitors can also take a break at the bar in the local workshop, enjoy a drink or fruit, and even purchase souvenirs, making it quite convenient.
