Moonlight Pavilion Introduction
Yueliang Xiaozhan is located at the foot of Dulan Mountain. It is a cozy little house filled with the aroma of coffee and a rich artistic atmosphere. It became a popular recreational spot after Director Lin Zhengsheng filmed the movie "Under the Moonlight, I Remember" in 2003. The second floor still retains the shooting scenes from that time, while the first floor is currently operated by the local arts team "Nü Yao Zai Shuo Hua" as an artist exhibition space, hosting various dynamic and static art and cultural events from time to time, allowing many travelers to stop by and experience the diverse and vibrant artistic culture of the East Coast. Yueliang Xiaozhan was formerly the administrative center of Dulan Forestry Station and a leisure education center for public educators. As you follow the winding mountain path, you can see the natural scenery of farmland, mountains, and bays along the way, especially the irregular stone walls stacked amid the fields, which evoke the origin of the name "Dulan - Atolan": a reminder of the scene from hundreds of years ago when the ancestors of the Amis tribe opened up the land, creating the terraced landscape of the coastal mountain range of Dulan. On the other side of Yueliang Xiaozhan sits "Yueliang Cafe," featuring a uniquely designed streamlined bar made from driftwood, adorned with beautiful bark lighting and stained glass, making Yueliang Xiaozhan quite charming. In addition to serving various coffees, beverages, and handmade snacks, "Yueliang Cafe" also offers many handmade products from local artists, as well as unique foreign goods such as music, books, accessories, and clothing brought back by the owners from abroad. Travelers visiting Yueliang Xiaozhan should not only enjoy the magnificent views of Dulan Bay but also remember to order a cup of rich drink at the cafe, gazing at the vast Pacific Ocean and feeling the slow-paced charm of Dulan in the refreshing sea breeze. How to get there: Along Taiwan Route 11 in Dulan Village, turn towards the mountain after seeing the Dulan Ruins sign at the 146.5-kilometer mark, then follow the signs past the "Stone Coffin Zone" and "Stone Wall Zone" for 3-5 minutes to arrive.
