Millennium Sunrise Memorial Park Introduction
The Millennium Dawn Memorial Park is named after January 1, 2000, when the world celebrated the arrival of the 21st century. The Millennium Sunrise Music Festival held on this beach was broadcast live in connection with 25 countries, making the waters of Taimali the focal point of global attention. Since then, an annual New Year's Eve music festival has been held here, featuring interactive experiences for families, live band performances, indigenous music and dance, flag-raising ceremonies, and other exciting activities. The name of Taimali in the Paiwan language is "Ja.Bau.Li," meaning "the place where the sun rises," designating Taimali Township as the home of the rising sun. Welcoming the first light of dawn in the Home of the Rising Sun has now become one of Taiwan's iconic New Year's Eve events. The park also features the "Dawn Memorial Wall" and the "Dawn Monument," so don't miss them! While traveling along the South Link Highway for family recreation, it’s worth stopping by the Millennium Dawn Memorial Park to enjoy the beautiful evening glow, feel the sea breeze, and even dip your feet in the water to wash away the fatigue of commuting.
