Sanhe Seaside Park Introduction
Upon seeing the eye-catching aquamarine seahorse-shaped entrance monument, you know you have arrived at Sanhe Coastal Park. Walking up to the observation platform offers a panoramic view of the vast Pacific Ocean, providing a refreshing experience. The coastal park employs advanced solar and wind power facilities to supply lighting for nighttime park use and important community celebrations. The wind turbines are quite distinctive, turning gracefully with the sea breeze, complemented by swaying coconut trees and boats dotting the water, creating a scene full of exotic charm. Adjacent to Sanhe Coastal Park is the former "Katsuo Fishing Port," which features skipjack tuna processing factories and a skipjack tuna museum. It serves as the landing port for the set-net fishing industry in Taimali Township, often catching large edible fish such as yellowfin tuna due to its location along the Kuroshio Current. Fish landing and auction times are at 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM daily, during which the fishing port buzzes with lively voices of traders and the sounds of selling, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
