Sanhe Coastal Park Introduction
Upon seeing the eye-catching turquoise seahorse-shaped entrance monument, you know you've arrived at Sanhe Coastal Park. Climbing up to the observation platform offers a breathtaking view of the vast Pacific Ocean, which is truly uplifting. The coastal park employs advanced solar and wind power facilities that provide lighting for the park at night and are used for important community celebrations. The wind turbines are particularly distinctive; with the sea breeze blowing, they turn rhythmically like a song, complemented by the swaying palm shadows and scattered fishing boats, creating a scene filled with exotic charm. Next to it is the Sanhe Fishing Port, formerly known as "Mackerel Trap," which features a bonito processing factory and a bonito museum. It serves as the landing port for the set net fishery in Taimali Township. By using structures located in the path of the Kuroshio Current, large edible fish such as mackerel are often caught. The landing and auction times for the catch are at 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM daily, during which the fishing port is bustling with voices and shouts, lively and vibrant.
