Sanhe Coastal Park Introduction
Upon seeing the eye-catching light blue seahorse-shaped entrance monument, you know you've arrived at Sanhe Coastal Park. Walking up to the observation platform, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the vast Pacific Ocean, which is truly refreshing. The coastal park utilizes advanced solar and wind power generation facilities to supply nighttime park lighting and for important community celebrations. The wind turbines, which are very distinctive, turn gracefully with the sea breeze, and combined with the swaying palm shadows and scattered fishing boats, the scenery is full of exotic charm. The Sanhe Fishing Port, formerly known as "Katsuobushi Port," is located nearby. This fishing port features a bonito processing factory and a bonito museum, serving as the landing port for the set-net fishery of Taimali Township. It often catches large edible fish, such as skipjack tuna, through a method set in the path of the Kuroshio Current. The fish landing and auction take place at 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM daily, during which the port is bustling with lively voices and shouting vendors, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
