Sanhe Coastal Park Introduction
Upon seeing the eye-catching turquoise seahorse-shaped entrance monument, you know you have arrived at Sanhe Coastal Park. Walking up to the observation platform offers a breathtaking view of the vast Pacific Ocean, which is refreshing for the mind and soul. The coastal park utilizes advanced solar and wind power generation facilities to supply nighttime park lighting and important community celebrations. The wind turbines are particularly distinctive; as the sea breeze blows, they spin like musicians performing, complemented by the swaying coconut trees and scattered fishing boats, creating a picturesque scene filled with exotic charm. The Sanhe Fishing Port, formerly known as "Katsuomizake," is located nearby and features a bonito processing factory and a bonito museum. This is the landing port for Taimali's fixed net fishery, where large edible fish like skipjack tuna are often caught, thanks to its location on the Kuroshio Current. The bustling fish market comes alive during the fish landing and auction times at 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM daily, with vendors' shouts and calls creating a lively atmosphere.
