Jinzun Fishing Harbor Introduction
Jinzhun Fishing Port is located in Donghe Township, Taitung County, situated between Xingang Fishing Port in Chenggong Township and Fugang Fishing Port in Taitung City. Construction began in 1984 and was completed in 1987. Jinzhun Fishing Port is not only an excellent fishing spot, attracting numerous anglers year-round, but starting from November, the northeast monsoon brings waves that make this area a perfect venue for surfing. Promoted by the Taitung County Government, since 2011, Jinzhun Fishing Port has served as the site for the "Taiwan International Surfing Open," which is not only Taiwan's highest-level international surfing event but also recognized by the World Surfing League as an international competition. This has drawn not only local surfers but also many top international competitors to participate. The popularity of surfing has also brought many domestic and international tourists to the Donghe Tribe located to the north of Jinzhun Fishing Port. With numerous surf-themed guesthouses and seaside accommodations, as well as outdoor restaurants serving fresh seafood, baozi, hand-brewed coffee, and handmade desserts, it has become a well-known culinary destination.
