Jinzun Fishing Port Introduction
Jinzun Fishing Harbor is located in Donghe Township, Taitung County, situated between Xinguang Fishing Harbor in Chenggong Township and Fugang Fishing Harbor in Taitung City. Construction began in 1984 and was completed in 1987. Jinzun Fishing Harbor is not only an excellent fishing spot that attracts numerous anglers year-round, but it also becomes an ideal surfing venue starting in November due to the waves brought by the northeast monsoon. Promoted by the Taitung County Government, Jinzun Fishing Harbor has been the venue for the Taiwan International Surfing Open since 2011, making it not only Taiwan's highest-level international surfing competition but also an internationally recognized event by the World Surf League. This attracts not only local surfing enthusiasts but also many top international competitors to Taiwan. The popularity of surfing activities has also led to the gathering of many domestic and international tourists in the Donghe Village located north of Jinzun Fishing Harbor. It features many surf-themed guesthouses and sea-view accommodations, as well as outdoor bars serving fresh seafood, buns, hand-brewed coffee, handmade desserts, and more, which are also highly popular, making it a renowned culinary spot.
