Jinzun Fishing Port Introduction
Jinzun Fishing Port is located in Donghe Township, Taitung County, situated between Xingang Fishing Port in Chenggong Township and Fugang Fishing Port in Taitung City. Construction began in 1984 and was completed in 1987. Jinzun Fishing Port is not only an excellent fishing spot, attracting many anglers throughout the year, but it also becomes a prime surfing location starting in November when the northeast monsoon brings favorable waves. With the promotion of the Taitung County Government, Jinzun Fishing Port has been designated as the venue for the "Taiwan International Surfing Open" since 2011, making it not only the highest-level international surfing competition in Taiwan but also an internationally recognized event by the World Surf League, attracting top surfers from both Taiwan and around the world to participate. The popularity of surfing activities has also led to the gathering of many domestic and international tourists in Donghe Village, located to the north of Jinzun Fishing Port. The area features numerous surf-themed guesthouses, seaside accommodations, as well as outdoor taverns offering fresh seafood, steamed buns, hand-brewed coffee, handmade desserts, and more, making it a well-known destination for delicious local snacks.
