Jinzun Fishing Harbor Introduction
Jinzun Fishing Port is located in Donghe Township, Taitung County, situated between Xinguang Fishing Port in Chenggong Township and Fugang Fishing Port in Taitung City. Construction began in 1984 and was completed in 1987. Jinzun Fishing Port is not only an excellent fishing spot, attracting numerous anglers throughout the year, but it also becomes a fantastic surfing venue starting in November, when the northeast monsoon brings waves. Since 2011, with the promotion of the Taitung County Government, Jinzun Fishing Port has served as the venue for the "Taiwan International Surfing Open," which is not only the highest-level international surfing competition in Taiwan but also recognized as an international event by the World Surf League. This has attracted surfers from all over Taiwan and many top international competitors to participate. The popularity of surfing has also drawn many domestic and foreign tourists to the Donghe Village north of Jinzun Fishing Port. The area features numerous surf-themed B&Bs and ocean-view accommodations, as well as open-air restaurants serving fresh seafood, baozi, hand-brewed coffee, handmade desserts, and more, making it a well-known culinary destination.
