Golden Harvest Pavilion Introduction
Golden Harvest Pavilion is a rice tourism factory planned by the Chihshang Township Farmers' Association to combine leisure and education. It makes the rice milling process transparent: inspection and grading, low-temperature drying, hulling, processing, and packaging, with text accompanied by explanations from professionals, allowing visitors to see how these advanced facilities ensure the quality and selection of every grain of rice we eat. The Golden Harvest Pavilion not only has a cultural relic area and an experiential classroom, but also provides free guided tours by appointment, as well as a gift exhibition and sales center, becoming a tourist factory that combines exquisite rice milling and rice education. Additionally, it exhibits many agricultural tools such as cow nose rings, seedling trays, snack baskets, and wind threshers, creating a strong nostalgic atmosphere that allows visitors to feel the hard work involved in farming while touring. After observing the static exhibitions, visitors can experience dynamic activities such as hands-on rice milling and DIY popcorn making, and they can take home the rice they packaged as souvenirs, as well as enjoy the hearty traditional harvest rice. This series of activities, “with eating and taking,” allows visitors not only to tour but also to engage personally with this ancient industry.
