Chishang Rice Barn Art Museum Introduction
The Chishang Grain Storage Art Museum is located next to Chishang Railway Station. It was transformed from a 60-year-old grain storage facility provided by Mr. Liang Zhengxian, with the efforts of Professor Chen Guanhua from National Yanzih University and his students over a year. During the process, they delved into the local life of Chishang, gathering memories associated with the area and reinterpreting the local spirit and aesthetics. After its opening, it won the Grand Prize and Owner's Award at the 2019 Far East Architectural Award – Special Prize for Renovation of Old Buildings. The museum irregularly hosts graphic and multimedia art exhibitions and invites domestic and international master artists to hold lectures, making the museum not only a commemorative space preserving local memories but also an important cultural and artistic base connecting local culture with domestic and international artistic trends.
