Juyuan Recreation Area (Penghu Recreation Area) Introduction
Located in Magong City, Penghu County, the "Penghu Recreational Park" encompasses an area of 140 hectares, including regions such as Juyuan, Dongwei Forest Area, and Tianren Lake. Divided into northern and southern sections by County Route 204, the northern side extends to Dongwei Forest Area, while the southern side reaches Xingren Reservoir. The park features attractions such as Juyuan, Lotus Pond, Lotus Pool, Soil and Water Conservation Outdoor Classroom, Tianren Lake, Shuanglong Pond, Shuanghu Garden, Caiyuan Wetland, Caiyuan Nursery, and Banyan Garden Boardwalk. It is equipped with a parent-child lawn activity area and public restroom facilities, providing visitors with enhanced activity spaces and basic service amenities. This park is designed and developed with a comprehensive and thematic approach, creating a large multifunctional area that integrates ecological conservation and recreational tourism. The park is lush with trees and greenery, featuring tree species such as cherry blossoms, cacti, and lemons. It is currently divided into five areas: Forest Conservation Area, Water Source Conservation Area, Soil and Water Conservation Outdoor Classroom, Caiyuan Nursery, and Flower Sea Scenic Area. In recent years, the Penghu County Government’s Agricultural and Fisheries Bureau has launched spring floral displays of cosmos and lavender in the park to celebrate spring. The vibrant colors provide a beautiful lakeside spring atmosphere, bringing a new spring vibe to Penghu.
