Chrysanthemum Garden Recreation Area (Penghu Recreation Area) Introduction
The "Penghu Recreation Area," located in Juyuan, Dongwei Forest, and Tianren Lake in Magong City, Penghu County, covers a total area of 140 hectares. It is divided into northern and southern sides by County Road 204, extending from the Dongwei Forest area in the north to the Xingren Reservoir in the south. It includes Juyuan, Lian Pond, He Pond, the Soil and Water Conservation Outdoor Classroom, Tianren Lake, Shuanglong Pond, Shuanghu Garden, Caiyuan Wetland, Caiyuan Nursery, and the Banyan Tree Wooden Path. The area features a parent-child lawn activity space and restroom facilities, providing citizens with better activity venues and basic service facilities. It is a large park designed with an overall thematic planning approach, integrating ecological conservation and recreational tourism functions. The park is lush with trees and greenery and includes species such as cherry blossoms, cacti, and lemons. Currently, it is divided into five areas: Forest Conservation Area, Water Source Conservation Area, Soil and Water Conservation Outdoor Classroom, Caiyuan Nursery, and Flower Sea Scenic Area. In recent years, the Penghu County Government's Agricultural and Fisheries Bureau has launched a spring flower sea landscape featuring Cosmos and Lavender, creating a colorful display in line with the spring season and enhancing the beauty of areas like Dongwei Forest Trail, Tianren Lake, and the Banyan Tree.
