Anyang Temple Introduction
Main Deity: King Li Festival Date: May 7th of the Lunar Calendar. Established in the 51st year of the Kangxi Emperor's reign, the Longmen Anyiang Temple, originally a vacant lot, became a site where early settlers frequently witnessed a brilliant fireball in the southwest, believed to house three deities: King Li (from Annam), King Wu (from Anhui), and King Hei (from Jiangxi). Additionally, starting from the 39th year of the Republic of China, the Anyiang Temple has invited the deities Yang Zhu and Zhang Sanfu multiple times. There are tales of their impressive divine powers, particularly during the 823 Artillery Bombardment, when other villages in Penghu suffered heavy casualties while all the young men from Longmen returned home safely, adding to the legendary mystique.
