Aimen Beach (including Lintou Beach) Introduction
Aimen boasts the longest golden sandy beach in Penghu, composed of coral and shell fragments, as well as the remains of foraminifera, among which the star-shaped foraminifera are particularly stunning. The beach’s white coral fragments, paired with the blue sea and sky, resemble a white ribbon that encircles the southern beach of Huxi Township, creating a spectacular view. In the past, Aimen Beach was transformed into bare rocks due to illegal sand and gravel extraction. Local elder Li Tianyu and enthusiastic community members protected the beach using sand traps, restoring Aimen Beach to its former glory. It is now a popular romantic beach in Penghu, with calmer waters suitable for water activities. Facilities include wooden pavilions for shade and rain protection and a water station for visitors to rinse off. Aimen Beach is connected to Lintou Beach, stretching several kilometers, with its wide and beautiful sands inspiring the creation of a seashell chapel in the shape of a heart shell at Lintou Beach. The pure white, stunning shell design resembles a love trumpet, with streamlined stripes symbolizing rhythm, akin to wedding music played by the chapel. The heart-shaped hollow design on the roof, combined with the arrangement of lucky four-leaf clovers, creates different sunlight projection patterns over time, exuding a romantic atmosphere and becoming a new highlight of Penghu. 【Suggested time to stay】1 hour
