Aimen Beach (including Lintou Beach) Introduction
Aimen possesses the longest golden sandy beach in Penghu, composed of coral and shell fragments, and the remains of foraminifera, among which the star-shaped foraminifera are the most stunning. The white coral fragments on the beach complement the blue sea and sky, resembling a white ribbon encircling the southern beach of Huxi Township, creating a spectacular scene. In the past, Aimen Beach was transformed into exposed rock due to illegal sand mining. Local elder Li Tianyu and enthusiastic community members took measures such as installing sand barriers to protect the beach, restoring Aimen Beach to its former glory. It has now become a popular romantic beach in Penghu. The water here is relatively calm, making it suitable for water activities. There are also wooden pavilions for shade from the sun and rain, as well as water dispensers for visitors to rinse off. Aimen Beach is connected to Lintou Beach, stretching several kilometers in length. Its beautiful, wide sandy stretch inspired the creation of a shell chapel on Lintou Beach, designed in the shape of a heart shell, symbolizing elements such as beach, shells, love, tide, and rhythm. The pure white, elegant shell design resembles a love horn, with streamlined stripes that symbolize a sense of rhythm, akin to music played at weddings. The heart-shaped hollow design on the roof, along with the arrangement of lucky four-leaf clovers, projects varying sunlight patterns over time, creating a romantic atmosphere and becoming a new highlight in Penghu.
