Shell Chapel Introduction
The "Love in Penghu Bay" imagery is shaped by elements such as beaches, shells, love, tides, and melodies. A shell chapel shaped like a heart shell has been constructed on Linh Tou Beach. The exterior of the shell chapel resembles a love horn, with natural patterns representing musical notes, as if the chapel is playing wedding music. The heart-shaped hollow design on the roof, along with the arrangement of lucky four-leaf clovers, creates different sunlight projections over time, filling the space with a sense of happiness. It is hoped that lovers can not only stroll along the beach under the glow of the sunset but also create everlasting memories in this chapel, allowing the shell chapel to compose more romantic love stories for Penghu. Several small shell seating installations have been added in the same location, utilizing unique marine resources and ecological elements of Penghu to create installation art, including boat octopus shells, tridacna shells, and heart shells, providing a deeper experience of Penghu’s maritime culture and making the site even more romantic and charming.
