Chang Yu-Sheng Story House Introduction
The Chang Yu-sheng Story Museum is a renovated building in the military dependents' village where singer Chang Yu-sheng lived during his childhood—Duxing Ten Village. Due to the limited space, the county government included adjacent buildings No. 20, 18, and 16 in the renovation to create a comprehensive exhibition area for the museum. The museum displays furniture from the past and exhibits artifacts related to Chang Yu-sheng, such as photographs, creative works, letters, trophies, achievements, and videos. Most of these artifacts were provided by Chang Yu-sheng's friends, relatives, and fans, making them of special value. The museum's exhibition themes are divided into four areas: Chang Yu-sheng's childhood life, academic growth, entry into the music industry, and media coverage, showcasing various aspects of his life in Penghu. Chang Yu-sheng, a talented songwriter born in Penghu, spent his early years in the historically significant Duxing Ten Village, yet his life there is little known. Now, based on Duxing Ten Village, the Chang Yu-sheng Story Museum has been planned to commemorate this creative talent. Chang Yu-sheng created many popular songs and became famous with the inspirational song "My Future is Not a Dream." Unfortunately, he passed away in a car accident at the age of 31, leaving fans with many regrets and memories.
