Chang Yu-sheng Story House Introduction
The Chang Yu-sheng Story House is a transformed veterans' village where the singer Chang Yu-sheng spent his childhood—Duxing Ten Village. Due to the small space, the county government included the neighboring buildings numbered 20, 18, and 16 in the renovation to serve as a comprehensive exhibition space for the story house. The interior is furnished with antique furniture and displays items related to Chang Yu-sheng, such as photographs, creative works, letters, trophies, achievements, videos, and more. Most of these artifacts were provided by Chang Yu-sheng's friends and fans, holding significant value. The story house divides the exhibition into four areas, respectively introducing Chang Yu-sheng's childhood life, educational growth, entry into the music industry, and media coverage, highlighting snippets of his life and studies in Penghu. Born in Penghu, the talented creator Chang Yu-sheng grew up in the historically significant Duxing Ten Village in Magong City until the age of nine, yet his story remains little known. Now, based on Duxing Ten Village, the Chang Yu-sheng Story House is planned to commemorate this creative genius. Chang Yu-sheng created many popular songs and rose to fame with an inspirational song "My Future is Not a Dream." Unfortunately, he passed away in a car accident at the age of thirty-one, leaving many regrets and memories for his fans.
