Chang Yu-Sheng Story House Introduction
The Chang Yu-sheng Story House is a converted military dependents' village where the singer Chang Yu-sheng lived during his childhood, specifically the Duxing Ten Village. Due to the limited space, the county government also included the adjacent buildings numbered 20, 18, and 16 for renovation, serving as the story house for an integrated exhibition. The interior displays past furniture and artifacts related to Chang Yu-sheng, such as photographs, creative works, letters, trophies, achievements, and videos. Most of these artifacts were provided by Chang Yu-sheng's friends and fans, making them of special value. The Chang Yu-sheng Story House divides its exhibition themes into four areas: childhood life, educational growth, entry into the music industry, and media reports, each detailing various aspects of Chang Yu-sheng's life while studying and living in Penghu. Born in Penghu, the creative talent Chang Yu-sheng grew up in the historically rich Duxing Ten Village until the age of nine, a fact that is not widely known. Now, based on Duxing Ten Village, the Chang Yu-sheng Story House has been planned to commemorate this creative talent. Chang Yu-sheng created many popular songs and became famous with an inspirational song "My Future Is Not a Dream.” Unfortunately, he passed away in a car accident at the age of thirty-one, leaving many fans with feelings of regret and remembrance.
