Jinshi Hall Introduction
Zheng Yongxi was born in 1788 and passed the imperial examination in 1823, becoming the first scholar from Taiwan to achieve this honor, earning him the title "First Scholar of Taiwan." In 1837, Zheng Yongxi constructed a large courtyard with three sections and three entrances. Unfortunately, the rear section was destroyed during World War II, leaving only the front two sections. The residence is filled with exquisite carvings and craftsmanship, making it truly breathtaking.
