Power Benchmark Station Introduction
The first "National Gravity Reference Station" in Taiwan is located in the air raid shelter of Shih-Dan Mountain. It features the most precise, nanometer-level superconducting gravimeters and is part of a collaboration with domestic and international institutions to establish an internationally standard "Geodetic and Seismic Monitoring Laboratory (TOGG)." The facility is also equipped with broadband seismometers and connects to nearby tide data, allowing for improved measurements of subtle displacements and mass change data. In the future, it is expected to synchronize with global efforts to detect microseisms and tsunamis.
