Power Benchmark Station Introduction
The first "National Gravity Reference Station" in Taiwan is located in the air-raid shelter of Shihban Mountain. It is equipped with the most precise, nanometer-level superconducting gravimeters and is part of an international-standard "Geodesy and Seismic Monitoring Laboratory (TOGG)" planned in collaboration with domestic and international organizations. The facility also includes broadband seismometers and connects to nearby tidal data, allowing for better measurement of micro-displacements and mass changes. In the future, it is expected to synchronize with global detection of micro-seismic activities and tsunami occurrences.
