Mangrove Forest Park Introduction
The mangrove forest around the Kejia River and Haishan Dam in Hsinchu City is one of the few non-estuarine pure mangrove forests of Bruguiera gymnorrhiza. Currently, there are tall and dense mangroves distributed outside the sea dike, while the shorter mangroves at the mouth of the Kejia River appear distinct in character. The Hsinchu City Government has planned a park in the mangrove area, which is the first ecological park designed with ecological engineering methods in Hsinchu City. The park features dedicated bike paths, birdwatching boardwalks, a central axis walkway, a sand sculpture area, and a small climbing wall, providing a place for both seniors to stroll and active children to find safe thrills.
