Mangrove Forest Park Introduction
The mangrove forest of water peanuts around the Kejia River and Haishan Garrison in Hsinchu City is one of the few non-estuarine pure forests of water peanuts. The water peanuts located outside the seawall are tall and dense, and they differ in appearance from the shorter water peanuts at the mouth of the Kejia River. The Hsinchu City Government has planned a park in the mangrove area, which is the city's first ecological park designed using ecological engineering. The park features dedicated bike paths, a bird-watching boardwalk, a central axis trail, a sand sculpture area, and a small rock climbing area, making it a safe and stimulating space for active children, while also providing a pleasant walking space for the elderly.
