Mangrove Park Introduction
The mangroves along the Kejia River and Haishan Fishing Port area in Hsinchu City are one of the few non-estuarine pure mangrove forests consisting primarily of Avicennia marina. The mangroves located outside the sea dike are tall and densely arranged, while those at the mouth of the Kejia River are shorter, each showcasing unique characteristics. The Hsinchu City Government has planned a park in the mangrove area, which is the city's first ecological park designed using ecological engineering methods. The park features dedicated bike lanes, bird-watching pathways, a central axis walkway, a sand sculpture area, and a small climbing wall, providing a place for the elderly to stroll and for active children to find safe thrills.
