Nangang Bird Watching Area Introduction
The South Bird Watching Area, located on the southern side of the Saltwater Port River estuary along the southern section of the west coastal highway in Hsinchu City, is a small yet beautiful ecological zone. Several ponds within the embankment have become resting places for wild birds after foraging. A bird-watching wall set up by the Hsinchu City Wild Bird Association was commissioned by the city government, allowing visitors to observe the natural behaviors of wildlife without disturbing them. The rich natural ecological landscape has long served as a "secret garden" for enthusiasts of intertidal ecology and wild birds in the city. Visitors can enjoy the sight of various wild birds resting and playing in the ponds at any time of the year.
