Nangang Bird Watching Area Introduction
The bird-watching area in Nangang, located south of the estuary of Yanshui River, is a small yet beautiful ecological zone along the southern section of the coastal highway in western Hsinchu City. Several ponds within the embankment have become resting places for wild birds foraging for food. The city government has commissioned the Hsinchu City Wild Bird Society to set up a bird-watching wall here, allowing visitors to observe the natural behaviors of wildlife without disturbing them. This rich natural ecological landscape has long been regarded as a "secret garden" for enthusiasts of intertidal ecology and wild birds in the city. Visitors can enjoy the sight of various wild birds resting and playing in the ponds at any time.
