Ding Tai Shan Rock was built in the 19th year of the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty (1754 AD) and is the oldest temple in the Taishan area. It is currently listed as a national historic site of level three. The most recent renovation occurred during the Japanese colonial period in the Showa years, planned and designed by the master craftsman Chen Ying-bin and his apprentices. The architectural layout features a two-entry, two-corridor double-dragon design, with exquisite and delicate internal wooden carvings, stone sculptures, and painting decorations that showcase the beauty of traditional craftsmanship and are rich in auspicious symbolism. The main deity worshipped at Ding Tai Shan Rock is the Xianying Ancestor Master, and a grand celebration is held annually on September 18th to honor the master's birthday. Nearby, there is the Qitou Trail, a famous ancient path in the Taishan area, which also leads to Yixue Keng and Mingzhi Academy, allowing visitors to appreciate the cultural heritage of Taishan.

Transportation Methods:1. Take bus 637, 638, 801, 880, 883, 1501, 1503, F211, F217, or F218 and get off at "Taishan Rock" Station. (The "Taishan Rock" Station refers to "Ding Taishan Rock," not "Xia Taishan Rock" Station.) 2. Take the Taoyuan MRT to Taishan Station, then transfer to bus 783/786 and get off at Taishan Substation, then walk about 3 minutes to the bus stop "Xia Taishan Rock" where you can catch bus 637/638/880 and get off at "Taishan Rock" Station. Walk about 3 minutes to reach your destination.
