Ding Tai Shan Rock Introduction
Ding Tai Shan Yan, built in the 19th year of the Qianlong Emperor's reign (1754 AD), is the oldest temple in the Taishan area and is currently designated as a national historic site of level three. The most recent renovation took place during the Showa era under Japanese rule, designed by the master craftsman Chen Ying-bin and his apprentices. The architectural layout features a double entrance and double corridors, with exquisite internal decorations including wood carvings, stone carvings, and paintings, showcasing the beauty of traditional craftsmanship and rich auspicious meanings. Ding Tai Shan Yan primarily worships Xianying Ancestor, and a grand celebration is held annually on September 18 to honor the ancestor's birthday. Nearby, there is a trail called Qitou Trail, which is a famous ancient path in Taishan that also leads to Yixuekeng and Mingzhi Academy, allowing visitors to appreciate the cultural heritage of Taishan.
