Ding Tai Shan Rock Introduction
Ding Taishan Temple, built in the 19th year of the Qianlong era (1754), is the oldest temple in the Taishan area and is currently listed as a national historic site of level three. The most recent renovation took place during the Showa period under Japanese rule, designed and planned by the master craftsman Chen Ying-bin. The architectural layout consists of a two-entry, two-corridor structure with double dragon guardians. The internal wood carvings, stone sculptures, and paintings are exquisitely detailed, showcasing the beauty of traditional craftsmanship and rich auspicious symbolism. Ding Taishan Temple primarily enshrines Xianying Zushi, and a grand celebration is held annually on September 18 to honor the birthday of the master. Nearby, there is a winding trail known as Qitaodao, which is a famous ancient path in Taishan, leading to Yixue Keng and Mingzhi Academy, allowing visitors to appreciate the beauty of Taishan's cultural relics.
