Ding Tai Shan Rock Introduction
Ding Taishanyan, built in the 19th year of the Qianlong reign (1754 AD), is the oldest temple in the Taishan area and is currently listed as a national 3rd-grade historic site. The most recent renovation was during the Japanese colonial period in the Showa era, designed and planned by the master craftsman Chen Yingbin. The architectural layout features a two-entrance, two-corridor structure with twin dragon guardians, and the interior boasts exquisite wood carvings, stone inscriptions, and colorful decorations that showcase the beauty of traditional craftsmanship and carry auspicious meanings. Ding Taishanyan primarily enshrines Xianying Ancestor Master and holds grand celebrations on September 18 each year to honor the Master’s birthday. Nearby is the Qitou Trail, a well-known ancient path in Taishan that leads to Yixue Keng and Mingzhi Academy, allowing visitors to appreciate the beauty of Taishan's cultural heritage.
