Ding Tai Shan Rock Introduction
Ding Taishan Temple was built in the 19th year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1754) and is the oldest temple in the Taishan area, currently designated as a national third-class historical site. The most recent renovation took place during the Japanese occupation in the Showa period, planned and designed by master craftsman Chen Ying-bin. The architectural layout features a double entrance with two corridors and two protective dragons, while the internal wood carvings, stone carvings, and decorative paintings are exquisite and delicate, showcasing the beauty of traditional craftsmanship and rich auspicious meanings. Ding Taishan Temple primarily worships Xianying Ancestor Master, and a grand celebration is held every year on September 18 to honor the Master's birthday. Nearby, there is the Qitou Trail, a well-known ancient path in Taishan that leads to Yixue Keng and Mingzhi Academy, allowing visitors to appreciate the beauty of Taishan's cultural relics.
