Hsiang Tzu Mountain Trail Introduction
Located between Jing Tong Station and Pingxi Station on the Pingxi Branch Line, Mt. Xiaozi is actually a collective term for a trail system, which includes several independent peaks such as Mt. Xiaozi, Mt. Cimu, Mt. Putuo, Mt. Ci'en, and Central Peak. Although the mountains are not as high as others, their steep rock peaks are not to be overlooked. The most thrilling part of climbing Mt. Xiaozi is the final section of the hanging steel ladder to the summit. If one successfully climbs this nearly vertical rock face, they can enjoy a bird's-eye view of the entire Keelung River valley from the top. Surrounded by numerous peaks, totaling more than 20 mountains, it is referred to as the Twenty-Four Filial Pei Peaks. Due to its resemblance to the Yellow Mountains on the mainland, Mt. Xiaozi is also known as "Little Huangshan."
