Xiaozi Mountain Hiking Trail Introduction
Xiaozi Mountain, located between Jing Tong Station and Pingxi Station on the Pingxi Branch Line, is actually the name of a trail system that includes several independent peaks such as Xiaozi Mountain, Cimu Peak, Putuo Mountain, Ci'en Ridge, and Central尖. Although the height of these mountains is not as impressive as others, their steep stone peaks are hard to ignore. The most thrilling part of climbing Xiaozi Mountain is the final section with a suspended steel ladder leading to the summit. If you successfully climb this nearly vertical rock face, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Keelung River valley from the top. Surrounded by numerous peaks, there are over 20 summits in total, leading to the name "Twenty-Four Filial Mountains." Additionally, due to its resemblance to Huangshan in mainland China, Xiaozi Mountain is also known as "Little Huangshan."
