Jingtong Railway Story House Introduction
The "Jinguang Railway Story Museum" located on Jinguang Old Street is run by He Yuanfu, a railway enthusiast. After negotiating with Taiwan Railways, he opened a charming railway story museum at the last station of the Pingxi branch line, Jinguang Station. The museum is designed to resemble a two-story wooden building from the 1960s, intentionally creating a strong nostalgic atmosphere, and selling beautiful memories of the past. Here, you can find a variety of nostalgic merchandise including toy trains shaped like railway carriages, Taiwan’s iconic Datong Baby, wooden postcards, and nostalgic train tickets, all centered around the themes of railways and coal mining, making it the perfect souvenir to commemorate your visit. The mailbox and the large railway attendant figurine at the entrance are must-visit spots for tourists, and the shop has thoughtfully provided a bench for visitors to take pictures comfortably.
