Jingtong Railway Story House Introduction
Located on Jingtong Old Street, the "Jingtong Railway Story Museum" is run by He Yuanfu, a railway enthusiast. After negotiating with Taiwan Railways, he opened a quaint railway story museum at the last stop of the Pingxi Branch Line, Jingtong Station. The museum features a two-story wooden building designed to resemble architecture from the 1960s, intentionally creating a strong nostalgic atmosphere, selling beautiful memories of the past. Here, you can find various merchandise, including train carriage-shaped toy trains, Dazhongbao dolls, wooden postcards, nostalgic train tickets, and other themed souvenirs related to railways and coal mining, making them the best mementos of your visit. The mailbox and the large railway porter figurine at the entrance are must-take photo spots for tourists, and the shop has kindly provided a bench for everyone to take photos comfortably.
