Wanggu Waterfall Introduction
⚠ The area in front of Wanggu Waterfall is undergoing landslide repairs and improvements to the hiking trails. Some sections of the Wanggu Waterfall viewing trail are closed (the section towards Lingjiao Liao Mountain Trail is unaffected). Please do not enter the closed areas for safety reasons. ⚠ Wanggu Station is the quietest little station on the Pingxi Line. This place once prospered due to coal mining, and the nearby Qinghe Suspension Bridge is a remnant of the coal industry's former glory. To reach "Wanggu Waterfall," you can follow the industrial road along the railway, ascend the wooden plank steps to access the hillside trail leading to the stream below. This area features unique horizontal rock layers and differences in hardness, creating a curtain-like waterfall landscape. Water cascades down from the rocky summit, forming a pool at the bottom, where the clear water reflects a gem-like emerald color, offering the most natural makeup for photographers. Listening to the slow and tranquil sound of flowing water feels like being in a paradise isolated from the world.
