Wanggu Waterfall Introduction
⚠ The Wangu Waterfall trail has sections closed due to landslides and improvement works. The closed segments should not be entered for safety reasons (the path towards Lingjiao Liao Mountain Trail is not affected). ⚠ Wangu Station is the quietest stop on the Pingxi Line. This area once thrived due to coal mining, and the nearby Qinghe Suspension Bridge is a relic of that prosperous era in the coal industry. To reach "Wangu Waterfall," you can follow the service road alongside the railway, ascend the wooden plank ladder, and take the mountain trail to reach the valley below. This location features a curtain-like waterfall formed by unique horizontal rock layers and differences in hardness and softness. The water cascades down from the cliff top, creating a pool at the base where the clear water reflects a jewel-like emerald green. It's the most natural cosmetic for Instagram enthusiasts, and listening to the slow, tranquil sounds of the flowing water makes one feel as if they are in a paradise.
