Wuliaojian Trail Introduction
Wuliaojian, located in the Sanxia District of New Taipei City, stands at an elevation of 639 meters. Also known as Cuhuo Mountain or Fengji Peak, Wuliaojian gets its name from its mountain shape resembling five rocky peaks that rise and fall like fists. It is one of the three major climbing sites in northern Taiwan, along with Bijiashan and Huangdidian. The climbing experience offers a heightened sensory stimulation, with various common terrain obstacles encountered along the way. Climbers often need to use ropes and engage in rock climbing to reach the summit. One section features the Niu Bei Yan, a steep cliff approximately 30 meters high, with an incline of about 70 to 80 degrees, known as the Cliff Tower Peak section, where the cliffs are barren and there are deep abysses on both sides, requiring careful navigation. From the summit, there are expansive views that allow for distant vistas of Sanxia, Yingge, and Shulin.
