Wuliaojian Trail Introduction
Wuliaojian, located in the Sanxia District of New Taipei City, has an elevation of 639 meters. Wuliaojian is also known as Couhe Mountain or Fengji Peak. It is named for its shape, resembling five peaks that rise and fall like fists. It is one of the three major rock climbing sites in northern Taiwan, along with Bih jia Mountain and Huangdidian. During the climbing process, climbers can enjoy a sense of height and encounter various common terrain obstacles. The ascent of Wuliaojian often involves using ropes for climbing, with a section from Niubeiyan to a steep cliff with an incline of 70 to 80 degrees and a depth of over thirty meters, known as the Cliff's Grand Peak section. This part consists of a cliff approximately 30 meters long, where no vegetation grows on the walls, and both sides lead to deep abysses, requiring careful and cautious traversal. The summit offers a broad view, allowing distant sights of Sanxia, Yingge, and Shulin areas.
