Daxi Old Tea Factory Introduction
Visit the Daxi Old Tea Factory and leisurely embark on a journey called "Tea Time." Established in 1926 by the Japanese, the Jiao Ban Mountain Factory, the predecessor of the Daxi Tea Factory, began a brilliant chapter in Daxi's tea production history, making it a “new rich in tea” of its time. However, a fire in 1956 nearly destroyed the factory. It wasn't until 2010 that Taiwan Agricultural and Forestry Co., Ltd. began reconstruction, bringing back the charm of tea that had been hidden for half a century, blending the old and the new for the world to see. The exterior of Daxi Old Tea Factory is modeled after Indian Darjeeling tea factories, while the interior embodies a mix of Taiwanese and Japanese cultures, exuding remarkable diversity. Blue is the main color of the building; whether it be the window grilles, beams, shaped shelves, walls, or artwork, the understated blue tones perfectly complement the brick and cedar wood structure of the tea factory. Under this “Daxi Blue,” time-worn beauty and antique tea-making equipment whisper softly about tea conversations in a serene Zen style. Savor the aroma of tea and appreciate the culture; every corner of the tea factory is intoxicating. Stroll beside the reflective pool and experience a moment of tranquility away from the city. Sip from the wall of Pu-erh tea made of over a hundred tea bricks and taste the fragrance of time. Relax in the reading area without minding the passage of time in the world of words. Sit across from a friend in the tea library to enjoy tea and casual chats. Don’t forget to unleash your creativity on the graffiti book, leaving beautiful notes for this little journey. Embracing nature is the unchanging principle of Daxi Old Tea Factory's operation. The production process contains no pesticide additives, advocating for food safety and organic practices. All products pass SGS inspection. Monthly, they offer reservations for a buffet featuring 15 local seasonal dishes complemented by tea, providing pure flavors and refreshing tastes, allowing travelers to enjoy the elegance of tea through their taste buds. They also provide daily regular set meals, allowing a brief yet unforgettable taste of food and drink culture.
