Daxi Old Tea Factory Introduction

The Daxi Old Tea Factory, built in 1926 and formerly known as "Jiao Ban Mountain Factory," retains many historical relics from the Eastern Tea Company era and the original appearance of its century-old green architecture. The industrial-style renovated exhibition area, the minimalist tea house, and the imagery of limited and simple tea production together showcase the revived charm of the old tea factory. Covers an area of 1,670 ping, the Daxi Old Tea Factory is hidden in a quiet alley, blending Taiwanese, Japanese, and British architectural styles, understated yet refreshing, maintaining its charm over the century. Since 2010, restoration works have preserved the high ceilings of the old tea factory without excessive embellishment, exuding a nostalgic atmosphere that perfectly recreates the timeless elegance of the old tea factory over the past century. For a century, the tea from the old tea factory has accompanied the memories of the Taiwanese people and the journey that has led them here. Through the silent aura and interplay of light within the building, the warmth of the old factory is conveyed to visiting travelers. Upon opening the door, one experiences the sincere connection between tea makers and local culture, accompanied by the aroma of tea that evokes shared memories across generations.
