Dahua Station Introduction
The Pingxi Branch Line was originally built by the Taiwan Yang Mines Company to transport coal. After the government took over its operation, it faced abandonment for a time before developing into a railway branch line with significant tourism value. Each small station along the line carries a strong sense of antiquity. The Dahua area, which currently has fewer than ten households, originally did not have a station but had one established in 1949 due to the mining activities at Dahua Coal Mine. In 1994, due to cost concerns, it was changed to an unattended service station. Except on holidays, Dahua is quite sparsely populated, and walking here allows one to fully enjoy the sweet, fresh air and listen to the symphony of nature.
