Dahua Station Introduction
The Pingxi Branch Line was originally constructed by the Taiwan Yang Mining Company for coal transportation. After being taken over by the government, it faced a period of abandonment before being developed into an important tourist railway. Each small station along the line carries a strong historical charm. The Dahua area, which currently has fewer than ten households, originally did not have a station but was established in the 38th year of the Republic of China due to coal mining activities. In the 83rd year of the Republic of China, it was changed to an unstaffed stop due to a lack of cost-effectiveness. Besides weekends, Dahua is usually sparsely populated, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the sweet and fresh air while listening to the symphony of nature.
