Dahua Station Introduction
The Pingxi Branch Line was originally built by the Taiwan Yang Mining Company to transport coal. After being taken over by the government, it faced a period of abandonment, but later developed into an important tourist railway. Each small station along the line carries a strong sense of history. The Dahua area, which has less than ten households, initially had no station, but a station was established in the 38th year of the Republic of China due to coal mining activities. In the 83rd year of the Republic of China, it was changed to an unattended stop due to unprofitability. Aside from holidays, Dahu is usually quite sparsely populated, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the sweet, fresh air and listen to the symphony of nature while strolling through the area.
