Shifen Old Street Introduction
The "Pingxi Line," a railway branch built early on for coal mining, winds along the Keelung River Valley, connecting the charming old streets of Shifen, Pingxi, and Jing Tong. The most distinctive feature of Shifen Old Street is the railway that runs right beside it. Trains occasionally pass slowly through the middle of the street, creating the unique scene of "trains passing in front of the door," which attracts many films and idol dramas for location shooting, making it a popular attraction along the Pingxi Line.
