Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium Introduction
Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium is a baseball stadium located in the Beitun District of Taichung City, at the intersection of Chongde Road and Huanzhong Road. Completed in 2006, it was constructed and is owned by the Taichung City Government, and it is operated by the Wu Yang Group. The stadium is one of the main venues in Taiwan for international baseball events. Currently, Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium serves as the primary venue for the Taichung Wagor baseball team, a member of Taiwan's top-level amateur baseball league, as well as the home field for the Uni-President Lions in the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). The Chinese Baseball Association held the 16th Intercontinental Cup baseball tournament here, which marked the stadium's grand opening, showcasing Taiwan's progress and determination in baseball development to the world. As a top-tier baseball stadium that meets international standards, Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium is also the first baseball stadium in Taiwan designed in an American style. The grandstand offers a wide view, and the surrounding area is spacious. The landscaping above the stadium is designed in the shape of baseball stitching, symbolizing the stadium's iconic status.
