Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium Introduction
Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium is a baseball stadium located in North District, Taichung City, at the intersection of Chongde Road and Huan Zhong Road. Completed in 2006, it was built and owned by the Taichung City Government and is operated by the Wu-Yang Group. It is one of the main venues in Taiwan for international baseball events. Currently, the Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium serves as the primary venue for the Taichung Wei-Da Dragons, a team in Taiwan's Professional Baseball League, as well as the home field for the Chinatrust Brothers of the Chinese Professional Baseball League. The Chinese Baseball Association held the 16th Intercontinental Cup at this new stadium as its inaugural event, showcasing Taiwan's progress and determination in baseball development to the world. As a top baseball stadium in Taiwan that meets international standards, Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium is also the first baseball field in the country designed in an American style. The grandstands offer a wide view, and the expansive surrounding area features landscaping designed in the shape of baseball stitching, symbolizing the iconic status of the Intercontinental Baseball Stadium.
