Barrel Mountain Introduction
Jiu Tun Mountain, with an elevation of 977 meters, does not resemble a wine barrel, but rather the peaks form a continuous range resembling nine water barrels. The winding industrial roads add unique character to the area. The mountaintop platform features a leisure farm and cozy accommodations, and from the observation deck, visitors can overlook the entire Greater Taichung area, Changhua, and Nantou, with mountains, hills, and streams visible in the distance. Vessels navigating the Taiwan Strait are often clearly seen from this vantage point. During the day, one can witness the morning mist, while evenings present a stunning orange sunset, and nights offer beautiful night views. Notably, after rain, the sea of clouds envelops the mountains, with peaks rising and falling like small islands on the sea, while the ever-changing cloud formations in the valleys offer a captivating experience.
