Dakeng No. 3 Trail Introduction
Dakeng Scenic Area – Mountain Trail Guide Dakeng Scenic Area is an important leisure spot for Taichung citizens to find solace, a place for hikers to enjoy the outdoors and exercise, and a popular tourist destination in Central Taiwan. On regular days or holidays, it is common to see groups of friends and families enjoying the scenery together, making it a shared garden for the people of Taichung. Its most distinctive feature is the 14 mountain trails. Trails No. 1 to No. 8 were opened in 1981, constructed according to the natural terrain where Dakeng Mountain intersects with streams, with the highest point being Toukeng Mountain at an elevation of 859 meters. Trail No. 9 was developed in December 2005, and Trail No. 10 was completed in March 2008. Trail No. 9-1 was completed in November 2013. Trail No. 3 has a length of approximately 1.3 kilometers and is suitable for ecological education. Trailhead: From the Dakeng roundabout, turn right into Hengkeng Lane, then turn left into Liankeng Lane, and walk up past the parking lot to reach the trailhead. Features: This trail is rich in natural ecological education resources, including various species of birds, plants, animals, and insects, with various plant information signs along the way to help the public learn and understand.
