Dakeng No. 3 Trail (Closed) Introduction
Due to the heavy rain brought by Typhoon Danna and the southwest airflow on July 28 this year, post-disaster reconstruction work will be carried out. Dakeng Scenic Area – Hiking Trail Guide Dakeng Scenic Area is an important leisure place for the citizens of Taichung to find spiritual solace, as well as a spot for hikers to exercise. It is also a popular tourist attraction in central Taiwan. On regular days and holidays, you can often see groups of enthusiasts and families enjoying time together, making it a shared backyard for the residents of Taichung. Its most distinctive feature is the 14 hiking trails. Trails No. 1 to 8 were opened in the early 1980s, constructed according to the natural terrain formed by the interlacing of Dakeng Mountain and streams, with the highest altitude being 859 meters at Touqian Mountain. Trail No. 9 was developed in December 2005, trail No. 10 was completed in March 2008, and trail No. 9-1 was completed in November 2013. Trail No. 3 has a length of approximately 1.3 kilometers and is suitable for ecological education. Trailhead: You can turn right at the Dakeng Roundabout onto Hengkeng Lane, then turn left onto Liankeng Lane and continue up past the parking lot to reach the trailhead. Features: This trail is rich in natural ecological education resources, including various species of birds, plants, animals, and insects, with various plant identification signs along the route to help the public learn and understand.
