Gongyi Road Business District Introduction
Gongyi Road is one of the important roads in Taichung City, generally running east to west. It is divided into two sections, starting from Taiwan Boulevard and Minquan Road to the east, and ending at Huanchung Road to the west. The Gongyi Road commercial area is the street with the highest concentration of themed restaurants in Taichung City, and it serves as an important thoroughfare between the West District and the South District. Gongyi Road can be regarded as a frontline battleground for Taichung's culinary scene, with every restaurant eager to establish a presence here, as almost all the establishments are some of the best representatives of Taichung. On weekends, it is usually crowded with people, with a variety of food and shopping options available. Centered around the Qimhneiz and connected to the Caowu Path in a cross-network, this area can be said to be the most vibrant part of Taichung, offering a wide range of choices from traditional Taiwanese lunch boxes and buffet meals to Cantonese dim sum, Japanese set meals, Hakka stir-fry, and Italian cuisine. In addition to the rich variety of international cuisines, every restaurant features spacious dining environments and uniquely styled interior designs, allowing visitors a temporary escape from the dreary office work.
