Baojue Temple Introduction

The temple is most famous for three structures: the Friendship Bell Tower, the Seven Treasures Pagoda, and the Maitreya Buddha statue. The Maitreya Buddha statue, which stands seven stories tall, is the most prominent landmark of Baojue Temple and has become a popular spot for visitors to take photos. In front of the Buddha, there is a garden square, also known as Tongxin Park, which displays many small Happy Buddha statues in various poses, either leaning or sitting. The square also features an 80-year-old coal transport steam locomotive, adding to its historical charm. The top of the Friendship Bell Tower is adorned with a large bell weighing one thousand catties, gifted by the Japanese. Furthermore, there is a commemorative space in front of the Ksitigarbha Hall that attracts countless Japanese tourists each year.
