Yide Building - Former Residence of Lin Mao Yang, Taichung City Historical Architecture Introduction
The Lin Mao-Yang Residence, a historical building in Taichung City, showcases a blend of Minnan, Japanese wooden, and Western architectural styles. Built in the 1920s after the marriage of the Lin and Lai families, it preserves the unique architectural features of the Japanese occupation period and has witnessed the lively era of military dependents' villages, earning the name "Yi-Der Western-style Building." It was opened to the public in 2015 after restoration.
