Houli Saxophone Museum Introduction
The technical director of Wongful Musical Instruments: Mr. Zhang Wanfu, who has been taught by five uncles: Zhang San, Zhang Lai, Zhang Kun, Zhang A-Liang, and Zhang Fengxiong, has over fifty-five years of manufacturing experience. The arduous journey of seeking guidance has laid a solid foundation for manufacturing and a keen sensitivity towards musical instruments. Since the saxophone factory began operations, the instruments produced have won numerous awards and international brand recognition, attracting collaborations and establishing him as one of Taiwan's national treasured artisans. In 2005, Mr. Zhang Wanfu and his wife, Ms. Lin Mei-yun, founded the Taiwanese saxophone brand: WONGFUL, and established the Houli Saxophone Players' Pavilion, becoming Taiwan's first dedicated saxophone store. They aim to deeply cultivate the local market in Taiwan, hoping that the instruments they meticulously develop will thrive in their hometown. The Houli Saxophone Players' Pavilion currently has its main store in Houli, Taichung, and a branch in Taipei. The Houli store offers not only their own WONGFUL saxophones but also imported brand saxophones and related accessories for players to choose from, providing more enjoyment in playing. The Taipei branch offers instruments and accessories, and the regular maintenance days allow consumers in the northern region to enjoy quicker and more convenient after-sales service.
