Houli Saxophone Museum Introduction
Mr. Zhang Wanfu, the Technical Director of Wongful Musical Instruments, has over fifty-five years of manufacturing experience, having studied under five mentors: Zhang San, Zhang Lai, Zhang Kun, Zhang A-Liang, and Zhang Fengxiong. The arduous journey of seeking guidance has established a solid manufacturing foundation and a keen sensitivity to musical instruments. Since the establishment of the saxophone factory, its instruments have won numerous awards and international brand recognition, inviting collaborations and establishing Mr. Zhang as one of Taiwan's national treasure craftsmen. In 2005, Mr. Zhang and his wife, Ms. Lin Mei-yun, founded the Taiwanese saxophone brand WONGFUL, and established the Houli Saxophone Players' Center, becoming Taiwan's first dedicated saxophone store, deeply cultivating their roots in Taiwan, hoping to promote instruments that they meticulously refine in their hometown. The Houli Saxophone Players' Center currently has its main store in Houli, Taichung, and a branch in Taipei. The Houli store offers not only their own brand of WONGFUL saxophones but also imported saxophones and related accessories for players to choose from, providing more enjoyment in playing. The Taipei branch offers instruments and accessories, with a fixed maintenance day each month, allowing consumers in the northern region to enjoy quicker and more convenient after-sales service.
