Houli Saxophone Player Museum Introduction
Mr. Chang Wan-Fu, the Technical Director of WONGFUL Musical Instruments, has over fifty-five years of manufacturing experience. He was trained under five uncles: Chang San, Chang Lai, Chang Kun, Chang A-Liang, and Chang Feng-Xiong. The arduous journey of learning from masters has laid a solid foundation for manufacturing and a keen sensitivity to musical instruments. Since the opening of the saxophone factory, the instruments produced have won multiple prestigious awards and received international brand recognition, establishing him as one of Taiwan's national treasure-level craftsmen. In 2005, Mr. Chang and his wife, Ms. Lin Mei-Yun, founded the Taiwanese saxophone brand WONGFUL and established the Houli Saxophone Players’ Hall, becoming Taiwan's first dedicated saxophone store. They aim to nurture the local market and hope that their meticulously crafted musical instruments can flourish in their hometown. The Houli Saxophone Players’ Hall currently has a main store in Taichung Houli and a branch in Taipei. In addition to their own WONGFUL saxophones, the Houli store offers imported saxophones and related accessories for players to choose from, providing more fun for music enthusiasts. The Taipei branch offers instruments and accessories, with regular maintenance days each month, allowing consumers in the northern region to enjoy faster and more convenient after-sales service.
