Taichung Fish Market - Ha Fishing Harbor Introduction
Ha Yu Pier officially opened on January 10, 2010, located on Wuquan West Road and Huan Zhong Road in Taichung's recreational fish market. It was originally the unique center for fresh fish auctions in central Taiwan. In recent years, after a transformation in its economic development model, it has been planned as a recreational tourist fishing port. With support from the Agricultural Bureau, it has been continually improved, including the establishment of an ice plant, cold storage, and other enhancements to the cold chain system, thus continuously improving market transaction quality. Retail and culinary centers, such as fish-selling and cooking stations, have also been established to provide citizens with a place to purchase fresh, high-quality domestic fish. Additionally, a collaboration with the city's Water Resources Bureau led to the establishment of the "Fazih Stream Water Culture and Environmental Education Center" (https://www.wrs.taichung.gov.tw/1886141/post), helping the public understand environmental ecology.
