Taichung Fish Market - Ha Fishing Wharf Introduction
The "Ha Yu Fishing Harbor" officially opened on January 10, 2010. Located on Wuqiao West Road and Huan Zhong Road, it is a tourist recreation fish market in Taichung. It was once an iconic fish auction center in central Taiwan but has now transformed into a charming tourist fishing port that continues to develop diverse experiences. In recent years, with the support of the Agriculture Bureau, it has continuously improved by planning to establish an ice plant and cold storage to strengthen the cold chain system, while also enhancing the quality of market transactions. Additionally, it has established retail and culinary centers, such as fish sales and cooking areas, providing citizens a place to purchase fresh domestic and high-quality seafood. Furthermore, it has collaborated with the city's Water Resources Bureau to set up the "Fazi Creek Water Culture and Environmental Education Center" to help the public understand environmental ecology.
