Exhibition Guide ◼️ The Art and Cultural Display Area regularly hosts themed art exhibitions ◼️ 3D Painting Room for realistic photo opportunities and simulated living quarters experience ◼️ VR experience to glimpse life within the walls. The 1st floor is designed with a reception hall, a self-operated product exhibition area, a display area for educational correctional achievements, a display area for the history of corrections, a remote visitation center for families of correctional institutions in Central Taiwan, a world map, an interactive photo booth, and an administrative office area; while the 2nd floor features a flexible multimedia classroom that doubles as an auditorium, simulated living quarters, multifunctional classrooms, meeting rooms, a VR experience area, and the 3D Painting Room (a highlight of the venue). The main exhibition items in the Art and Cultural Display Area include traditional crafts or cultural and creative works from various correctional institutions, such as lacquerware, Tiao-Chi pottery, bamboo weaving, and rush weaving, showcasing the contributions of correctional institutions to the preservation of traditional crafts and their efforts in innovative advancements. The simulated living quarters represent the daily living and sleeping place of inmates, featuring essential facilities such as the living quarters door, report lights, inmate nameplates, observation holes, meal delivery openings, and ventilation windows. The living quarters door is designed with an observation feature and two sets of latches, providing better protection for staff when opening the door. The 3D Painting Room features meticulously created 3D murals by professional 3D painter Mr. Lin Zhi-Min, showcasing lifelike 3D artworks on the exterior and interior walls, symbolizing the primary missions and functions of contemporary correctional institutions: confinement, reflection, transformation, and reintegration.
