Taichung City Library, Li Ke-yung Memorial Library Branch Introduction
The Li Ke-Yung Memorial Library's design concept references the Takeo City Library in Japan, and is constructed within a park. The three-story building integrates with the natural landscape, allowing sunlight and greenery to naturally filter in during reading, creating a leisurely and comfortable atmosphere that resembles a cozy bookstore. Outside the library, there are coffee vending machines and casual seating, enabling visitors to enjoy coffee surrounded by the grand banyan trees and greenery of the park, accompanied by the fragrance of books. The interior of the library specifically plans for reading sofa areas and soft artistic lighting, thoroughly relaxing every visitor’s mind and spirit, providing solace amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. Text and images are provided in cooperation with Taichung City Public Library.
