Yuanman Church Introduction
Occupying an area of 1,045 ping, it is the largest church in Southeast Asia. The entire structure is four stories high and features elements of Romanesque, Baroque, Rococo, and Gothic architecture. Viewed from above, the building resembles a large cross imprinted on the site. Inside, the cross-shaped architectural form and the design of a huge cross light shining through the open roof create a unique and creative style reflected in the hall. The interior walls are engraved with the full text of the Bible, and statues depicting Jesus' life are honored, with stained glass shadows illuminated by intricate modern technology, vividly presenting the holy light emanating from the saints, the blood shed by Christ, and the tears of the believers. The European-style garden surrounding the church features stone sculptures that depict the fourteen Stations of the Cross during Jesus' suffering, along with an artistic and colorful fountain located in the center. The adjacent Rose Virgin Mary Garden embodies the compassion of the Virgin Mary and the expression of her beloved son. The garden also includes benches carved with adorable animals, allowing travelers to enjoy playing with children in the European-style flower garden. Additionally, the garden features large stone sculptures depicting "Jesus Blessing Children," "The Five Ends of Chongfu," "The Resurrection of Lazarus," "The Double Happiness Five Ends," "The Five Sufferings," and "The Last Supper."
