Yuanman Church Introduction
Covering an area of 3,450 square meters, it is the largest church in Southeast Asia. The entire building is four stories high and incorporates elements of Romanesque, Baroque, Rococo, and Gothic architectural styles. From above, the structure resembles a large cross imprinted on the site. Inside, the cruciform shape and the vast cross-shaped light cast through the open ceiling reflect a unique and creative design in the lobby. The interior walls are engraved with the full text of the Bible and feature sculptures depicting the life of Jesus. Advanced modern technology allows stained glass light to vividly portray the divine light emanating from the saints, the blood flowing from Jesus, and the tears of the disciples and believers. The European-style garden surrounding the church includes stone carvings illustrating the fourteen Stations of the Cross during Jesus' Passion, and a beautifully artistic fountain located in the center. Adjacent to this is the Rose Mary Garden, which depicts the compassionate demeanor of the Virgin Mary with her Son. The garden also features benches carved with cute animals, providing travelers and children a delightful space to play. Additionally, there are large stone sculptures in the garden depicting scenes such as "Jesus Blessing the Children," "Five Blessings of Chongfu," "The Resurrection of Lazarus," "Five Blessings of Double Happiness," "Five Blessings of Suffering," and "The Last Supper."
