Starry Sky Villa Introduction
The Zhaixing Mountain Villa, a designated historical site in Taichung City, is currently undergoing renovation and is temporarily closed to the public. Located in the Tanzi District next to the Tanyashan Bicycle Path, it is also known as the Tanzi Lin Residence. The villa covers an area of over 2,000 ping and was built by General Lin Qi Zhong during the 10th year of the Tongzhi era (1871 AD), taking nine years to complete by the 5th year of the Guangxu era (1879 AD). With a history of more than a hundred years, it is a traditional four-sided courtyard with two main sections and multiple dragon ridges. Notably, the villa showcases exquisite representations in reliefs, Chiayi pottery, decorative paintings, and structural design, earning it the title of "the foremost of Taiwan's top ten residential buildings," and it has been designated as a historical landmark.
