Tanzi Elementary School was established on May 1, 1909, as the Tanjin Branch of the Gourd Dune Public School. It became an independent school known as Tanjin Public School on April 1 of the following year. In 1941, in line with the reform of Taiwan's elementary education system, it was renamed Tanzi National School. After the war, in 1968, it was changed to Tanzi National Primary School. It became an independent school, named Tanziqian Public School, on April 1 of the following year. In 1941, in line with the reform of Taiwan's elementary education system, it was renamed Tanzi National School. After the war, in 1968, it was changed to Tanzi National Elementary School.
