Tanzi Elementary School was originally established on May 1, 1909, as the Huludun Public School Tanziqian Branch, and became an independent school on April 1 of the following year, renamed Tanziqian Public School. In 1941, in line with the reform of Taiwan's elementary education system, it was renamed Tanzi National School. After the war, in 1968, it was changed to Tanzi National Elementary School.
