Jiu Ding Street Police Station Introduction
The "Old Dingjie Police Station" is located at No. 5, Zhongzheng Road, Fengyuan District (next to Fengyuan Train Station). It was established in 1930 during the Japanese colonial period and originally served as the Dingjie Police Station of Taichung Prefecture. In 2002, it was registered as a historical building by the county government. The historical building, Dingjie Police Station, is adjacent to the left side of Fengyuan Train Station and was built in 1936 as a two-story police station. The exterior was originally a brown pebble-washed wall, with the base adorned with green glazed tiles. However, due to the needs of the police organization, the outer wall was later spray-painted red. On April 16, 2002, it was officially announced as a registered historical building of the city. Currently, the building is operated by an external entity and is planned to serve as a multifunctional space for art exhibitions, music performances, local specialty products, cultural education promotion, and dining services.
