Yuejin Harbor - Jupodi Pavilion Grand Temple Introduction
In the past, the saltwater Moonlight Port was bustling with merchant ships, and the gathering of waves and fishing lights was one of the eight scenic spots of Yuanshan. The public temple next to the Gathering Waves Pavilion was built in 1741 and is dedicated to the God of Thunder, one of the deities of the Yan Shui Hu Bi Temple. The surrounding environment of the temple is tranquil, and the large tree in front of the temple is a popular spot for local residents to chat and cool off in the afternoon. What is most unique about the temple is the small temple created in 1990 by the temple master using about 5,000 Mahjong tiles, which has become a temple within the public temple of Gathering Waves Pavilion. It enshrines the God of Wealth, and many devotees place their entrance exam certificates or business cards inside the small temple or on the statue's hands, praying for success in exams and business, making it a remarkable sight within the public temple.
