Chongqing Temple Introduction
Chongqing Temple has a long history and is one of the Seven Temples and Eight Shrines of the City of Forts. It is located in a small alley behind the National Museum of Taiwan Literature, with its main deity being Guanyin (Goddess of Mercy). The history of the temple can be traced back to 1778, and it was relocated to its current site in 1916. Despite experiencing damage due to changes in time and wars, the solemnity and grandeur of Chongqing Temple remain after restoration.
