Great Perfection Temple Introduction
Not far from the bustling urban area of Nanhua, after passing Nanhua Elementary School and looking carefully to the right, you will see a sign for the Dàyuánmǎn Temple. Following the path to the end, you will encounter a red Buddhist temple with colorful prayer flags and a golden prayer wheel. Besides the resident temple staff, there aren't many visitors, which creates a tranquil atmosphere. This temple of Tibetan Buddhism's Red Sect is quite different from common Buddhist temples, featuring vibrant and ornate colors. The rainbow staircase in front of the temple is a significant highlight, and standing in front of the temple, you can enjoy a pleasant mountain breeze while viewing the undulating mountains of Tainan, resembling scenery from Tibet. It is a secret base for many locals in Nanhua. The murals and Buddha statues inside the temple were painted by Tibetan lamas, completely following Tibetan practices, making it quite unique to experience Tibetan Buddhist culture thousands of kilometers away in Nanhua.
