Chiao-Tou White Tree Painted Village Introduction
The Baishu Community, located near the Ciao-Tou Sugar Refinery and Provincial Highway, was originally an unremarkable small village. In 2011, with the initiative of the Ciao-Zi-Tou Cultural and Historical Association, eight creators were invited to help the Baishu Community create murals on old houses. Starting from the community's faith center, the Tiantian Temple, the mural styles vary widely, with some being quirky and humorous, others cute and warm, some combining with rural culture, and some alternative works creating contrasting effects. These artworks add color to the monotonous red brick or corrugated iron houses and inject vibrant new energy into the old rural area. Some dilapidated walls, under the skilled hands of the artists, have even transformed into the most popular installation art corners. Visitors can joyfully take photos with their favorite murals and leisurely stroll through the community, enjoying the slow-paced rural atmosphere.
