Shihgu Bridge Sugar Cultural Park Introduction
Established in October 2011 in the Kaohsiung Ciaotou Sugar Factory (North Warehouse Complex), it is operated by the Ten Drum Art Percussion Group. The park adopts a semi-open operation mode, allowing the public to freely visit the public spaces, while ticket purchase is required for fixed performances and percussion classes. The Ten Drum Art Percussion Group has won awards such as the "Best Traditional World Music Album" at the Grammy Awards and "Best Traditional World Music" at the American Independent Music Awards, allowing visitors in Kaohsiung to enjoy world-class performances. Ten Drum Cultural and Creative has transformed the century-old idle space of the sugar factory, preserving the historical appearance of Taiwan Sugar Corporation while infusing new life into the art of drumming, turning decay into miracles and creating a legend in the history of Taiwan's sugar industry and percussion art. Different warehouses showcase different themes, connected by a courtyard with Japanese landscaping. Currently, the park includes the Ecological Listening Pavilion, Experience Classroom, Ten Drum Chimney Theater, Ten Drum Vegetable Garden Restaurant, Cultural and Creative Merchandise Center, and Drum Museum.
