Shigou Bridge Sugar Cultural Creative Park Introduction
Established in October 2011 within the Kaohsiung Chiao-Tou Sugar Factory (Northern Warehouse Area), it is managed by the Ten Drum Art Percussion Group. The park operates in a semi-open manner, with public spaces accessible for free visits. Scheduled performances and percussion arts classes require separate tickets. The Ten Drum Art Percussion Group has won awards such as the "Best Traditional World Music Album" at the Grammy Awards and "Best Traditional World Music" at the American Independent Music Awards, allowing the public to enjoy world-class performances in Kaohsiung. The Ten Drum Cultural and Creative Park revitalizes the century-old, dormant sugar factory space, preserving the historical appearance of the Taiwan Sugar Corporation while injecting new life into percussion arts, transforming decay into marvels, and creating a miracle in the history of Taiwanese sugar industry and percussion arts. Different warehouses showcase various themes, connected by a Japanese-style courtyard. Currently, the park includes the Ecological Listening Pavilion, Experience Classroom, Ten Drum Chimney Theater, Ten Drum Vegetable Garden Restaurant, Cultural and Creative Product Pavilion, and the Percussion Museum.
