Cijin Sugar Factory Cultural Park Introduction
Established in October 2011 at the Kaohsiung Chienkuo Sugar Factory (North District Warehouse Cluster), it is operated by the Ten Drum Art Percussion Group. The park adopts a semi-open operation mode, allowing the public to freely visit the public spaces. Tickets are required for scheduled performances and percussion classes. The Ten Drum Art Percussion Group has won multiple awards, including the "Best Traditional World Music Album" at the Grammy Awards and "Best Traditional World Music" at the Independent Music Awards, providing the public with the opportunity to enjoy world-class performances in Kaohsiung. Ten Drum Cultural and Creative Space revitalizes the century-old idle sugar factory area, preserving the historical appearance of Taiwan Sugar Corporation while infusing it with the art of percussion, transforming decay into magic, and creating a miracle in the history of Taiwan's sugar industry and percussion art. Different warehouses feature different themes, connected by a Japanese-style courtyard. The current facilities in the park include the Ecological Listening Pavilion, Experience Classroom, Ten Drum Chimney Theater, Ten Drum Vegetable Garden Restaurant, Cultural and Creative Product Hall, and Drum Museum.
