Sugarman Creative Park Introduction
Established in October 2011 within the Kaohsiung Ciaotou Sugar Factory (North District Warehouse Area), it is operated by the Ten Drum Art Percussion Group. The park adopts a semi-open operation model, with public spaces open for free visits, while ticket purchases are required for performances and percussion classes. The Ten Drum Art Percussion Group has won awards such as the "Best Traditional World Music Album" at the Grammy Awards and "Best Traditional World Music" in Independent Music, allowing the public to enjoy world-class performances in Kaohsiung. Ten Drum Cultural and Creative recreates the space of the century-old idle sugar factory while preserving the historical appearance of Taiwan Sugar Corporation, injecting new life into percussion art and transforming decay into magic, creating a miracle in the history of Taiwan's sugar industry and percussion art. Different warehouses showcase different themes, connected by a courtyard with Japanese-style landscaping. Currently, the park includes the Ecological Listening Rain Pavilion, Experience Classroom, Ten Drum Chimney Theater, Ten Drum Vegetable Restaurant, Cultural and Creative Product Hall, and Drum Museum.
