Shihku Bridge Sugar Cultural Creative Park Introduction
Established in October 2011 within the Kaohsiung Ciaotou Sugar Factory (Northern District Warehouse Cluster), it is operated by the Ten Drum Art Percussion Group. The park adopts a semi-open operation model, with public spaces open for free visits; however, ticket purchase is required for scheduled performances and percussion arts classes. The Ten Drum Art Percussion Group has won awards such as "Best Traditional World Music Album" at the Grammy Awards and "Best Traditional World Music" at the Independent Music Awards, allowing the public in Kaohsiung to enjoy world-class performances. The Ten Drum Cultural and Creative Park revitalizes the century-old, inactive sugar factory space, preserving the history of Taiwan Sugar while injecting new life into percussion arts, transforming the old into the miraculous, and creating a marvel in the history of Taiwan's sugar industry and percussion arts. Different warehouses display various themes, connected by a Japanese-style courtyard. The park currently includes an ecological listening rain pavilion, experience classrooms, the Ten Drum Chimney Theatre, Ten Drum Vegetable Garden Restaurant, cultural and creative product pavilion, and a percussion museum.
